HOW WE WORK
Agrilink delivers market-driven services that enhance the local agricultural ecosystem. Acting as both a connector and catalyst, Agrilink integrates and strengthens this ecosystem to benefit our farmer clients. We address each challenge with commercial solutions, as only market-based approaches can sustainably fortify both our clients and Agrilink’s business operations.
Tractor Services: Serve commercial and non-commercial farmers with mechanized crop production services, with a priority of implementing regenerative ag practices.
Agrilink Farm: Commercial farm operated by Agrilink that demonstrates the productivity and efficiency of good ag practices including regenerative production processes. It also trains Agrilink employees and generates income to contribute to Agrilink Tractor services business sustainability.
Farmer Service Packages on credit: Sell packages including mechanization, inputs and extension advising, implementing regenerative ag practices from seeding to harvest. Offering credit is a catalyst for adopting improved production practices that lead to increased productivity and farmer income.
Agrilink Training and Development Services & Consulting: Best practice development and sharing for operations, management, and training. Provide for-fee training development and delivery in support of other organizations.
Managing Implementation and Continuous Improvement.
Since 2016, Agrilink has continuously refined its model through learning and improvement. Achieving growth in smallholder farmer income involves more than just tractor services. According to Liebig’s law of the minimum, yield is determined by the scarcest resource or limiting factor. To improve yields, access to enhanced seeds, fertilizers, and crop care chemicals is essential. This necessitates credit for acquiring services and inputs, as well as timely agronomic advice. Scaling up regenerative agriculture requires investment in developing and demonstrating effective local practices that gain farmer acceptance. Additionally, providing access to a farm gate market after harvest empowers Agrilink’s client farmers, motivating them to boost per-acre productivity through fair crop pricing.
Law of the Minimum: Yield is limited by the input in shortest supply.
Agrilinks’s management processes bring system and structure to tractor operations and farm production. Our documented processes enable management and accountability. Monitoring of key process indicators and gathering customer feedback through M&E activities enables continuous learning and improvement. Documentation of best practices enable replication and scaling to ultimately have an impact on ag production much greater than the local Agrilink footprint.
